Wayne Eddy As I've said elsewhere. I love the vocals. I love work on the bass guitar. I love the work on the drums, and I love the video. Without a doubt one of my favourite songs of the last 12 months. And as someone else commented when I shared the video - Jordi's like a one girl Spiderbait. (Which is a definite compliment.)

Escape Route 03:06
Can’t you see me, trying to run away from, all these people, looking at me kind of weird? Chasing after, friends left me, so dark out, can’t find my escape route. All alone, get away, driver’s gone, so I run. In the street light, in the clear sight, still dark out, can’t find my escape route. And I don't want to go back now. Instead we all fall down. Get out! Hideaway, so the day, passes by, and I try To leave all, this madness, trying to shout, can't find my escape route. And I don't want to go back now. Instead we all fall down. Get out! One, two, three, four Everybody hit the floor. One, two, three, four Doesn't have to be a war. One, two, three, four Everybody hit the floor. One, two, one, two, three, go!

about

Jordi is the project of Jordan Radnoti, a seventeen year old high school senior from Monrovia, California. She writes, plays and sings her songs. Every part of them. Jordan’s songs are sharp and concise. Daydreams wrapped in sunlight, with exactly the right mix of clouds on the horizon to balance the picture. “Escape Route,” written when Jordan was 15, found its existence in Jordan’s bedroom as a riff that she imagined playing to a huge crowd, on a huge stage that “would be fun to jump and mosh to.” The riff IS huge, and her voice and the performances exhibit a confidence which allow a rock song like this to dig in and do its job. To allow the listener to let go for a few moments.
